ISRO set to launch Earth Observation Satellite EOS-08

Electro-Optical Infrared Payload (EOIR): Used for capturing high-resolution images in both visible and infrared spectrums.

Global Navigation Satellite System-Reflectometry (GNSS-R) Payload: Utilized for measuring sea surface heights, soil moisture, and other environmental parameters.

SiC UV Dosimeter: Measures ultraviolet radiation levels in space.

Applications:

Environmental Monitoring: Tracking changes in the environment, such as deforestation and urbanization.

Disaster Detection: Identifying and monitoring natural disasters like floods, cyclones, and landslides.

Cryosphere Studies: Observing and analysing ice-covered regions on Earth.
