4th Indian city to receive World Craft City Certificate

Srinagar in Kashmir has been honored with the prestigious title of World Craft City by the World Crafts Council (WCC).
Recognition: Srinagar is the fourth city in India to receive this recognition, joining Jaipur (Rajasthan), Mamallapuram (Tamil Nadu), and Mysore (Karnataka).
Cultural Heritage: This title acknowledges Srinagar’s rich cultural and artistic heritage, particularly its renowned crafts such as Pashmina shawls, carpets, and papier-mâché.
